On 15^th September 2024, Children in Distress team members Lesley and Tiegan honoured the organisation’s 35^th anniversary by participating in Edinburgh’s Kilt Walk 2024. The two dedicated team members walked through Edinburgh’s picturesque cityscape, raising awareness and essential funds for children and families in Romania who are supported by our charity.

The event brought together walkers from across Scotland, with Lesley and Tiegan joining the spirited crowd, each step symbolising the charity’s ongoing commitment to improving lives. From the iconic Royal Mile to the scenic paths around Holyrood Park, their route was both a celebration of the charity’s work and an inspiring reminder of the dedication behind it.

This special Kilt Walk served as both a milestone in Children in Distress’s history and an opportunity to bring people together to make a meaningful impact. The duo's participation generated an outpouring of support from the charity’s community with donations contributing directly to vital programs for vulnerable children. Our JustGiving campaign raised a whopping £1,380 thanks to our generous supporters!
