Annual Report 2023/2024 Released
Children in Distress (CID) has officially released its 2023/2024 Annual Report, highlighting a year of significant achievements and organisational transformation. Our charity has undergone a comprehensive restructuring, enabling it to strengthen its operations and increase its impact.
Key accomplishments include the expansion of community education outreach programmes, the continued success of Casa Maria, which provides specialised care for children with complex needs and new initiatives designed to address educational and psychosocial support for underserved communities.
This report also outlines the charity's strategic relocation to York and its ongoing commitment to delivering life-changing services. As CID celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2024, we remain focused on scaling our programmes and creating sustainable models of care for the future.
“We are incredibly proud of the impact we’ve been able to make over the past year, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the hard work of our staff, and the resilience of the children and families we support,” said Simon Errington, CEO of Children in Distress. “This report reflects the heart of our mission – to bring hope and healing to children facing extraordinary challenges. As we look ahead to the next year, we are more determined than ever to build a brighter future for every child in need.”
