Volunteering

The success of many Children in Distress early projects depended on the selfless commitment and dedication of volunteers from all walks of life, who gave of their time, to share love, care and life itself, with Europe's forgotten children.

We acknowledge, with gratitude, that they eased the passing of those beyond help and with their kindness, consideration, hard work and prayers and today, we still have children who, beyond expectation, have life.

These volunteers made real our hope "to cure, sometimes; to help, often; to comfort, always".

Today, although there are fewer opportunities, we have an ongoing need to share best practice with our local medical, nursing, therapy and care staff and welcome contact with volunteers who wish to share their experience and expertise.
