A surprise visit for Rafi and Florin

Aurora visting Florin and Rafi  bearing gifts

Rafi and Florin had a surprise visit at the centre they now call home. After obtaining the necessary permit from the Centre, St Margaret’s Social Worker, Aurora Jipa finally went to spend time with the boys. She brought them gifts from their British sponsors and carried messages of love and hope from all of their friends at Children in Distress.

The lads were very excited to spend a little time with a familiar face and also happy to receive the gifts. Expressing strong emotion they went to the centre’s visitor’s room, and ever curious, started pulling out, one by one, the presents that their gift parcels contained. Florin finally got around to his new radio quickly attached the headphones and then went through frequencies until he found his favourite radio station Itsy Bitsy. Rafi on the other hand hurriedly tried on his new pair of shoes with one hand whilst  managing  to open a bucket filled with modelling clay with the other  and he even started moulding various shapes and try out different colour combos.

During the visit, each of them told the social worker stories about their new house -mates, about getting together in the new centre with their school colleagues, about the ladies that take care of them every day and didn’t forget to ask about each and every “mum” at Saint Margaret’s and also wanted to know how their little brothers and sisters were doing and if everything was fine.

At the end of the time spent with Aurora, both Rafi and Florin asked her to come back and see them and promised to be on their best behaviour, until then.

We wish Rafi and Florin all the very best, in their new home. They are missed dearly and we hope to see them soon! All our best wishes and thoughts go to them and they will forever be in our prayers.
