Celebrating another important milestone birthday for Clara Maria.

Clara Maria and her birthday cake

The St Andrew’s Hospice team are incredibly happy to report that this week they celebrated Clara Maria’s Popescu’s birthday, it was a beautiful moment for her family and the centre’s staff. During the summer months, the team usually enjoy their vacation, with holidays spent at the seaside, but for special occasions like this, they come together in the residential ward to sing a belated “Happy Birthday” and to ensure each child feels cherished and loved.

Clara’s Mum was ready for the occasion and ordered a special and may we add, delicious chocolate cake. Clara is among the few fortunate kids, who enjoys a special relationship with her parents. They like to visit her often and make sure she has everything she needs. Meaningful and strong parent-child bonds help the children during the rehabilitation process, to grow up in a beautiful way and represent an important foundations stone in their development. Mum and Clara Maria had the opportunity to spend an entire afternoon together and everyone had a delicious slice of cake, every child’s favourite desert.

We would like to wish Clara “Happy Birthday” from the bottom of our hearts, many happy returns and bright days spent in the company of her friends at St Andrew’s. The team there feel incredibly lucky to have her in their care and watch her grow up and reach her full potential, especially with the help and support of her Mum and family.
