A day out at Comana Adventure Park offers children insights to nature and a day of fun

A special day out in the nature park

Recently some of our long-term supporters of the Help, Hope & Hospice (HHH) St. Cristofer’s project  helped  plan and organise a fantastic day outing. The children being given the opportunity to visit the historic Samurcasesti and Comana Monasteries. There was free transportation, park passes and a boat rides at Comana Park and beautiful activities packs were donated as a wonderful gift for each child.

The highlight of the day being the  Cumana Adventure Park where everyone had lunch in the restaurant during which  a guide presented all the park’s adventure rides, animals to be seen  and other points of interest. The children were introduced to how it is everyone’s duty to protect nature and its endangered species. The natural wonders tour included in a wonderful adventure trail during which everywhere they looked. the kids discovered birds, fish, and local flora and fauna. The stunning outdoors had something to offer, with over 200 species of birds to 15 species of fish and innumerable plants, a truly amazing biodiversity that transforming the park into an incredibly special place.

A fun-filled train ride followed, then a zip line allowed each of them to demonstrate their courage and then explore for insects, flowers, trees, bushes, leaves and other natural wonders. During their walk, the guide showed them to the Comana Delta and even mentioned Gellu Naum, a famous writer well known to children for his much-loved storybook ‘Apolodor, the travelling penguin’.

In all a memorable adventure. Happy and impressed with everything they experienced, on the road back home, the minivan resounded to happy chirps, stories, claps of joy and reminisces of a great day spent with friends. Everyone was thrilled that generous supporters offered so good an experience to the children.  The supporters shared their pleasure on offering such a great experience since the kids involved delight and impress with their personal progress, exceptional school results, and they felt a treat, was definitely in order. Each of the kids are from disadvantaged backgrounds so an adventure like this would definitely be out of their reach.

All of us would like to thank these St Cristofer’s supporters for their generosity it means the world to the children and to us!
