Top StoryOn stage for tonight’s preview of “The Story of US”![]() Valentina speaking from the heart On the evening of the 10th January, Valentina Zaharia, the Executive Director of Copii in Dificultate was invited to appear on stage as part of the panel supporting the premier of National Geographic of Romania’s “The Story of US”, a biographical film presented by Morgan Freeman. The film is a moving and inspirational recounting of the story of Isadore Ruckel, a young man who survived life, abandoned in a Romanian orphanage. Vali, shared her experiences and those of Children in Distress in working with children whose life had been changed irrevocably, by the searing experiences of life in state orphanages and state institutions. She spoke of the love, perseverance and patience required; of the pioneering paediatric palliative care and dedicated intervention needed to rehabilitate the children, undertaken by teams of selfless volunteers and teams of professional carers The film can be previewed by opening the hyperlink https://fisier.ro/download?f=a3c90baa9de Valentina and her fellow speakers talked about the healing power of love...and she
