“Love in a Box”: Surprise visit to two Bucharest emergency hospitals for children

\"Love in a Box\"  shared in the Marie Curie Hospital

Right after he got out of his reindeer sleigh, completing a long adventurous journey, which started in the United Kingdom, Santa Claus, loaded with gifts, lots of love and endless hope, crossed the threshold of Marie Curie and Grigore Alexandrescu Children Hospitals in Bucharest. Bringing a little of the joy and magic of Christmas to the young patients who will spend their holidays in the hospital wards.

Santa’s special team of elves and personal assistants, in the Children in Distress team made their way into the wards and lounges that oft times filled with pain and stress to bring boxes filled with, carefully wrapped presents, to the little ones waiting for them with open arms and hearts full of cheer. The kids rushed to unwrap the precious presents to find a myriad of marvels carefully hidden in each box by Santa’s elves from UK. Thus, the “Love in a Box” appeal put the smiles back on their faces helping them forget for a couple of moments about their woes and sorrows.

The CID team members stood in wonder, overjoyed and proud to be able to experience sheer happiness od the children’s, pleasure of discovering new things, toys and other items placed in each box. We would like to use this opportunity and wish Santa’s elves Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. May you be in good health and may 2018 bring lots of joys and bright smiley faces just like we’ve seen this day.
