The local media interest in the activities at St. Cristofer’s

Children enjoying their ASH day

The local correspondent of ‘Actualitate’, Cristina DINCUŢĂ, on 29 May 2017, picked up on the latest initiative of Help, Hope & Hospice – ASH Association – based at Saint Cristofer’s Centre in Curtea De Arges when the children in the centre education and welfare programme welcomed kids from Secondary School No 1 in Budeasa. This is one of a planned programme of event aimed at improved socialisation, improving communication, forming sound social skills and acquiring proper moral values to address the challenges of today.

This programme is an evolution of previously successful partnership projects involving staff from Help, Hope & Hospice – ASH Association staff, and C.J.R.A.E. the Arges County Educational Resources and Assistance Centre, led by its Director, Prof. Ilie Megherelu.   The lids spent an active fun filled learning day together, packed full of activities. For the visitors it was a long day given their road trip. Despite that, they enjoyed the pre-planned games and contests, and a delicious lunch courtesy of Constantin Negut of “Capra Neagra” (Black Goat) Restaurant. There were hours of games and contests designed to identify those who knew most. However, the children helped and supported one another; new friendships were formed and old ones cemented.

At the end of the day, everyone was rewarded with a diploma for hard work and dedication and was able to enjoy a refreshingly cool glass of fruit juice. In all a great time was had by all and everyone is ready to repeat the experience every day of the week.
